Welcome to Chapter Ten

Self-Fullness

In Chapter Ten we define what it means to have a Self-Full perspective. Starting with the workbook, we begin with an overview of self-fullness. We then contrast it with selfishness and selflessness. We offer some examples of each perspective in the Discovery exercise to help you deepen your understanding. The mindfulness practice is designed to help you to take note of the shifting perspectives of each of the three states as they arise in the moment. It is also designed to offer a way to generalize the meditation practice into your daily experience of life.
In the overview video Brian talks about the importance of learning to be self-full as a pillar of wellbeing. In the exercise video Theresa shares the insights she gained.
The PDF – Clinical Considerations – looks at how mental health professionals can utilize the material with their clients.
